Skvelý úspech dosiahli slovenské juniorky na MS B-kategórie vo švédskom Ostersunde, keď postúpili do štvrťfinále. V ňom prehrali s Tureckom 2:6, napriek tomu dosiahli najlepší výsledok v histórii Slovenska. V kategórii žien nás reprezenovali kvarteto Silvia Sýkorová, Soňa Mayerová, Nina Mayerová a Natália Orokocká. Medzi mužmi nás zastupovali Jakub Polák, Jakub Červenka, Marek Sýkora, Ján Horáček a Robert Masaryk. Juniori skončili v B-skupine na 5. mieste a do štvrťfinále nepostúpili.

Sweden defeat Japan to complete LGT World Women's gold medal game line-up

Olympic champions Sweden beat Japan by 6-3 in Saturday evening's second semi-final of the LGT World Women's Curling Championship 2019 in Silkeborg, Denmark and will face Switzerland in Sunday afternoon's gold medal final. Earlier, Switzerland had beaten China by 5-3 in the first semi-final.

Switzerland beat China by 7-6 while Japan were 11-3 winners over Russia in Saturday morning's qualification games at the LGT World Women's Championship in Silkeborg, Denmark. These two teams now move onto the semi-finals, where Japan will face Olympic champions Sweden and Switzerland play Korea.

The Pioneer Hi-Bred World Men's Curling Championship 2019 is set to take place from 30 March to 7 April in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. A total of 13 men's teams from around the globe, each with their own journey to get to the championship, will battle for the world title over nine days of play.
