Svetový šampionát sa koná 23. - 30. apríla vo Švajčiarsku

Slovensko na svetovom šampionáte v Ženeve reprezentoval tím Adara v zložení Milan Bubeník, Ľubomír Malý, Peter Mocek, Daniel Sýkora a Karol Pospíchal. Naši reprezentanti sa v základnej skupine stretli s Kanadou, Tureckom, Austráliou, Fínskom, USA a Talianskom. Po šiestich prehrách do ďalších bojov nepostúpili. Skvelý úspech dosiahlo Česko, ktoré si pod vedením skipa Davida Šika vybojovalo strieborné medaily. Zlato získala Kanada (skip Wade White), ktorá vo finále zvíťazila nad Českom 6:3.

Russia back to winning ways while Canada stay unbeaten

Canada kept their unbeaten record alive with an 8-4 win over Korea in Wednesday afternoon's 13th round-robin session at the Ford World Women's Curling Championship 2018 in North Bay, Canada. Other winners in this session were United States over China, Denmark, who beat Italy with the last stone of the game and Russia who beat Czech Republic.

Sweden recorded their eighth win of the Ford World Women's Curling Championship 2018 in North Bay, Canada, beating Germany by 8-4 in Wednesday morning's 12th round-robin session to stay undefeated at the top of the table and move within touching distance of guaranteeing a play-off slot.

Canada and Sweden remain untouched at world championship

Both Canada and Sweden added another game to the win column after Tuesday's (20 March) evening session at the Ford World Women's Curling Championship 2018 in North Bay, Canada and continue as the only undefeated teams. The Canadian's were pushed to the end in a battle against Scotland, where they managed to steal one point in the tenth end to win the game 8-6.

Canada's win over Denmark in Tuesday (20 March) morning's ninth session of round-robin play at the Ford World Women's Championship 2018 in North Bay, Canada, put them back in joint top spot along with Sweden, who sat the session out. Meanwhile, Scotland and Germany went head-to-head in this session searching for their first win, which Scotland achieve, by 8-5.
