Slovenskí reprezentanti zvíťazili vo svojom dtuhom vystúpení na ME B vo Švédsku nad Izraelom 9:3. O osude zápasu rozhodli už prvé dva endy, po ktorých sme viedli 5:0. „Na súpera sme sa pripravili, začali sme opatrnejšie, nechceli sme riskovať, že nám ujde začiatok zápasu. Vedeli sme, že po prvom zaváhaní potrebujeme vyhrať, aby sme sa vrátili späť do boja o postup do play-off. Takisto sme sa potrebovali vrátiť do hernej pohody, Vďaka bojovnosti sme dostali Izrael pod tlak a dosiahli sme pomerne jasné víťazstvo.," povedal viceskip slovenského tímu Ján Horáček. 
Slovákov čaká v pondelok od 13.30 Španielsko. „Je to súper, ktorý ešte neprehral, musíme byť koncentrovaní," doplnil Horáček. Naši hráči sa zásluhou víťazstva posunuli v A-skupine na delené 3. miesto.
