Majstrovstvá Európy C-kategórie, Dumfries

V Škótsku získala slovenská reprezentácia žien striebro

Slovenská reprezentácia žien dosiahla skvelý úspech, keď v škótskom Dumfries na ME C-kategórie získala strieborné medaily. Naše hráčky najskôr zdolali v semifinále Portugalsko 10:7, vo finále však nestačili na Poľsko (7:8). Slovenky si druhým miestom zabezpečili postup do ME B-kategórie, ktoré sa budú konať v neovembri. Na ME nás reprezentovali Dada Matulová, Maťa Ščepková, Paula Hajduk, Gabriela Kajanová a Jana Matulová. Naše reprezentácie už tretí rok od covidu bojujú s takmer neexistujúcimi možnosťami tréningov na Slovensku, keď curlingová hala v Ružinove je otvorená v priemere iba dva mesiace ročne a aj pred odchodom na ME ženskej reprezentácii odpadli takmer dva týždne tréningov.
Výsledky Sloveniek: Holandsko 1:10, Francúzsko 8:4, Írsko 8:4, Ukrajina 9:3, Srbsko 14:1, Wales 7:4, Španielsko 6:10, Portugalsko 8:4,  Poľsko 4:8, semifinále: Portugalsko 10:7, finále: Poľsko 7:8

Winter World Masters Games 2020 open for registration

The world's largest multi-sport event for amateur curlers over *35 years old, is open for registration to compete at the Winter World Masters Games in Innsbruck, Austria from 10-19 January 2020. The competition will feature over 3,000 athletes and will be hosted at the Sportpark KitzbUhel, located near the city centre close to the ski jumping.

Statement from the World Curling Federation Following an incident on Sunday 21 April, the World Curling Federation has suspended, Viktor Kim (Kazakhstan), from the World Senior and Mixed Doubles Curling Championships 2019 being held in the SOrmarka Arena, in Stavanger, Norway. This suspension has been handed to Mr. Kim for breach of The Rules of Curling R17 Inappropriate Behaviour.
