China made history in Saturday (17 March) evening's Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 gold medal final in the Gangneung Curling Centre, when they defeated Norway 6-5 after an extra end to claim China's first ever Paralympic Winter Games medals. Norway's silver was their first ever Paralympic wheelchair curling medal.

Canada continued their record of medalling in every Paralympic Winter Games wheelchair curling competition, when they defeated Korea 5-3 to win the bronze medals today (Saturday 17 March) in the Gangneung Curling Centre. Korea began the game with the last stone advantage but were unable to make it count with Canada stealing two points in the first end.

China and Norway to compete for Paralympic gold medals after semi-final wins
Norway were taken all the way to an extra end in their semi-final before they defeated hosts Korea 8-6, to go on to face China in Saturday (17 March) afternoon's gold medal final. China defeated Canada by a score of 4-3 in the other semi-final at the Gangneung Curling Centre. Canada and Korea will play for bronze medals on Saturday morning.
