Začiatok najvyššej súťaže cez víkend od 18. do 19. marca

Slovenský curlingový zväz oznamuje, že Prvá liga mužov a Prvá liga žien sa začne hrať cez víkend od 18. do 19. marca. Štartovné pre mužov je 200 eur, pre ženy 150 eur. SCZ takisto ako pri tréningoch výrazne zadotuje všetky kluby. Ženy budú hrať dvojkolovým systémom, muži jednokolovým. Všetky tímy musia záväzne do utorka 7. marca vypísať mailom na office@curling.sk súpisky s minimálne 4 a maximálne 10 hráčmi. Program zápasov je zverejnený v sekcii Súťaže.

World Men's Curling Championship 2019 to be played in Lethbridge, Canada

Another world championship will be contested in Lethbridge, Alberta, it was announced jointly on Wednesday (14 March) by the World Curling Federation and Curling Canada. The World Men's Curling Championship 2019 will be played at the Enmax Centre in Lethbridge, from 30 March to 7 April.

The Ford World Women's Curling Championship 2018 field is strong with the inclusion of 2018 Olympic champions, Anna Hasselborg of Sweden, Olympic silver medallists EunJung Kim of Korea, 2014 and 2016 world champions Binia Feltscher from Switzerland and 2014 Olympic gold medallists, Jennifer Jones of Canada.

Canada win to move into third place as the hunt for play-off spots tightens

Canada stole an extra end, 6-5, win against United States in Tuesday (13 March) evening's eleventh session of round-robin play of the Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 in the Gangneung Curling Centre to move into clear third place in the rankings behind Korea and China.
