Víťazom historického turnaja Gallo Team

Víťazom turnaja High Tatras Air Open v Tatranskej Lomnici sa stal Gallo team. Úradujúci slovenskí majstri pod vedením skipa Juraja Galla ako jediní zvíťazili vo všetkých štyroch zápasoch a zdvihli nad hlavu unikátnu trofej.

"Na toto podujatie sme dali zhotoviť krásnu trofej, typického tatranského svišťa stojaceho na curlingovom kameni. Vyrobil nám ju rezbár Marián Hutira. Váži 13 kilogramov a je celá z dreva. Bude to putovná trofej, keďže v organizácii turnaja chceme pokračovať aj v ďalších rokoch," povedal šéf organizačného tímu Jakub Jurkovič.

Na historický prvom curlingovom podujatí na Slovensku pod otvoreným nebom sa na druhom mieste umiestnilo poľské družstvo Jurczyk, tretiu priečku obsadil ďalší domáci tím Rakúsy. Na turnaji sa zúčastnilo 15 družstiev zo Slovenska, Česka, Poľska a Slovinska.

First PyeongChang 2018 win for Neutral Paralympic Athletes

The fourth session of Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 round-robin play at the Gangneung Curling Centre saw Neutral Paralympic Athletes (NPA) pick up their first win of the competition by beating Finland 12-5, while Canada and Korea both won to top the rankings. NPA opened the scoring of their 12-5 win over Finland with a steal of three points.

Germany move into joint first place in the Paralympic rankings after second win

Germany defeated United States 6-4 in Sunday (11 March) morning's third session of round-robin play at the Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 to remain undefeated and join Canada and hosts Korea at the top of the rankings. There were only two games in this session.
