RŠK zrušilo dva týždne tréningov vrátane finále Prvej ligy mužov

Curlingová hala v Ružinove skončila v nedeľu 30. apríla svoju prevádzku. Vedenie Ružinovského športového klubu po odchode ich zamestnanca nedokázalo zabezpečiť údržbu ľadovej plochy a v curlingovej hale zrušili SCZ dva týždne zazmluvnených tréningov juniorskej, ženskej aj mužskej reprezentácie. Ženská reprezentácia, zložená z hráčok 3 tímov, tak hrá na ME C-kategórie bez jediného spoločného tréningu, čím sa výrazne znížili šance na postup do béčka. SCZ tiež oznamuje, že bezprecedentné zrušenie prevádzky viedlo aj k zrušeniu finále mužskej ligy, v ktorom sa mali stretnúť 10-násobní majstri CC Poprad so štvornásobnými šampiónmi z CC Martin. Súboj o zlato sa tak prekladá na jeseň, ak bude pokračovať neschopnosť RŠK zabezpečiť prevádzku curlingovej haly, tak sa odohrá v Brne. Prevádzka curlingovej haly začala túto sezónu v porovnaní s minulými sezónami s niekoľkomesačným sklzom 1. marca, od 17. apríla však boli zrušené všetky tréningy. RŠK počas posledných 14 dní zrušil takmer 60 hodín tréningov v celkovej sume 2300 eur vrátane záverečného kempu vozičkárov.

Scotland's men beat Russia by 10-3 in Monday afternoon's fourth robin-robin session while Norway's 11-4 victory over Sweden gave them their first victory so far. Other winners in this session were Canada, who beat United States by 4-2; Switzerland, with an 8-3 win over Korea and Germany, who were 8-7 winners over China.
