Vo Fínsku aj slovenský tím junioriek

Vo fínskej Lohje sa konajú majstrovstvá sveta B-kategórie juniorov. Naše dievčatá si v A-skupine po dvoch prehrách (Turecko 2:12, Poľsko 3:6) pripísali na svoje konto prvé víťazstvo nad Brazíliou (8:3). V ďalšom zápase prehrali s Kanadou 2:5, s najväčším favoritom však odohrali vyrovnaný duel, keď ešte po piatom ende bolo 2:2. Slovenky v záverečnom dueli prehrali s Talianskom 2:8 a do play-off nepostúpili. Vo Fínsku nás reprezentovala štvorica Paulína Hajduk, Melánia Kováčiková, Zorka Reilly a Nina Summerová s trénerkou Luciou Orokockou.

Sweden beat Switzerland by 9-3, while United States were 5-3 winners over Canada in Thursday evening's Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 men's semi-finals, and these two teams will now contest Saturday's final for the Olympic gold medals. World Curling Federation appoints Heads of Competitions and Development

The World Curling Federation has appointed a Head of Competitions and a Head of Development, promoting two of its current Competitions and Development Officers to replace the retiring Director of Competitions and Development, Keith Wendorf. From July 2018, Switzerland's Eeva Roethlisberger will lead the competition side of the Federation, while Scott Arnold takes charge of development.
