Program vrcholných podujatí 2022

Vrcholom budú Zimné olympijské hry v Pekingu

Slovenský curlingový zväz praje všetkým členom príjemné prežitie vianočných sviatkov, veľa šťastia, zdravia a úspechov v novom roku 2022. Tento rok poznačila pandémia a boli zrušené všetky súťaže slovenskej ligy. Na reprezentačnej úrovni sa darilo tímu mužov, ktorý si na ME v Ženeve vybojoval postup do B-kategórie. Na ME v Lillehammeri potvrdil formu a takisto ako reprezentácia žien si udržal účasť v béčku. Naši hráči boli aj v hre o ZOH v Pekingu, v tureckom Erzurume si však muži, ženy ani dably postup nevybojovali. V budúcom roku bude pre slovenský curling vrcholom marcová paralympiáda, kde sa zúčastní tím pod vedením Radka Ďuriša.

Canada win inaugural Olympic mixed doubles curling gold

Canada's Kaitlyn Lawes and John Morris became the first ever Olympic mixed doubles curling gold medal winners at the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 on Tuesday night. Lawes and Morris defeated Switzerland's Jenny Perret and Martin Rios by a score of 10-3, in just six ends, in the inaugural Olympic curling mixed doubles final to claim gold and leave the Swiss with silver medals.

Anastasia Bryzgalova and Aleksandr Krushelnitckii of the Olympic Athlete from Russia (OAR) team have won curling's first-ever mixed doubles bronze medals at the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018. The pair beat Kristin Skaslien and Magnus Nedregotten of Norway by 8-4 in Tuesday morning's bronze medal final.

Deep inside the bowels of Gangneung Curling Centre, one man is monitoring the four rinks more closely than any other. Canada's Hans Wuthrich, known colloquially as an 'ice-meister', is the man tasked with making perfect sheets of ice for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games curling tournament.
