Slováci skončili v skupne na 5. mieste

Slovenskí reprezentanti skončili na MS v Aberdeene v D-skupine na 5. mieste a do play-off nepostúpili. Naše druždtvo zaznamenalo zo siedmich zápasov 3 víťazstvá a 4 prehry a celkovo obsadilo v konkurencii 34 tímov 19. priečku. Slovensko reprezentovalo na turnaji kvarteto Martina Ščepková, Róbert Masaryk, Daniela Matulová a Jakub Polák.

It took all the way to a single point steal in an extra end, but China's skip Bingyu Wang eventually led her team to a 7-6 win over hosts Czech Republic in Tuesday (5 December) afternoon's opening session of women's round-robin play at the Olympic Qualification Event in Pilsen, in the Czech Republic.

Lisbon, 2004. Greece win their first European Football Championship against the host nation Portugal, in a story that shocked the sporting world. They had qualified for the finals ahead of European titans Spain, who would join them in the tournament. Qualifying was stage one. The group stages saw them defeat Portugal and draw with Spain, before losing to bottom-of-the-table Russia.
