Australia's men's team has qualified for the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships 2017 semi-finals, being held in the Erina Ice Arena, on Australia's Central Coast, despite losing their latest men's round-robin game to Japan. Also, Kazakhstan men won their first game of the event, after a close battle with Hong Kong. That game finished 9-8.

Day five (Monday 6 November) at the Pacific-Asia Curling Championships 2017 got underway with the eighth women's round-robin session in the Erina Ice Arena on Australia's Central Coast. In the morning's session Hong Kong defeated hosts Australia 10-4 to secure their second win of the week and with other results going their way, keep their play-off hopes alive.
