V Číne zlato pre Talianov, Švédov a Škótky

Senzačným víťazstvom Talianska sa v Pekingu na ZOH skončila súťaž v mixed doubles. Dvojica Amos Mosaner, Stefania Constantini nenašla premožiteľa ani v jednom z deviatich zápasov v základnej časti a takisto nezavãhala ani v play off. Taliani najskôr v semifinále zdolali Švédsko 8:1 a vo finále zvíťazili nad Nórskom 8:5. V súťaži mužov sa zo zlatých medailí tešili Švédi, medzi ženami triumfovali Škótky.

Hralo sa v hale Ice Cube, ktorá bola ako Vodná kocka dejiskom plaveckých a potápačských súťaží na olympijských hrách v roku 2008.

Liverpool, Canada named World Junior Curling Championships 2019 hosts

The planet's best young curling teams will gather in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, Canada for the World Junior Curling Championships 2019 (WJCC), it was announced jointly on Wednesday (3 August) by the World Curling Federation and Curling Canada.

In our second Olympic Winter Games 2018 athletes feature we meet the team curlers from the host nation, Korea. Both teams have had a taste for what it is to win medals in international curling before, but there is no doubt, after winning their respective qualifying events, there would be nothing better than stepping onto the podium at home, in the world's biggest sporting event.

In the run-up to the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, Republic of Korea we celebrate the success of the curling qualifiers heading to the Games in (8-25) February. In the coming weeks and months, we will speak to the athletes that have been selected or qualified to represent their Member Association in the Gangneung Curling Centre, in just shy of 200 days' time.
