V Česku aj s tromi slovenskými tímami

Úspechom českých družstiev sa v Prahe skončil tradičný turnaj Kolibris Cup, keď si podelili všetky medailové pozície. Víťazom sa stal tím Vedral, ktorý vo finále zdolal Klímu 7:6. Bronz si vybojoval Šik po triumfe nad Synáčkovou 8:1. Z trojice slovenských tímov sa najviac darilo mužom CC Martin (Gallo), ktorí s bilanciou 1 víťazstva a 3 prehier skončili na 17. mieste. Ženské družstvá 1. CC Bratislava a CC Martin si podelili 21. priečku. Najlepší výsledok dosiahli Slováci na Kolibris Cupe v roku 2015, keď sa CC Martin tešil z 2. miesta. Rovnaký tím dosiahol v minulom roku v Prahe 9. priečku.

Netherlands defeat Olympic champions in Pioneer Hi-Bred World Men’s opening session

In Saturday afternoon's opening round-robin session of the Pioneer Hi-Bred World Men's Curling Championship 2019 in Lethbridge, Canada, Netherlands beat Olympic champions, United States by 6-5. Other winners were hosts Canada, who took an extra end to beat Korea by 6-5; Japan, who had a 6-4 win over Italy; and Scotland who beat Russia by 8-2 in eight ends.

The World Mixed Curling Championship 2019 will be held in Curl Aberdeen, in Aberdeen, Scotland from 12 to 19 October. This appointment comes a year after the same venue hosted the World Junior Curling Championships 2018.
