MS párov a seniorov v kórejskom Gangneunge

WCF schválila nové dejiská šampionátov

Majstrovstvá sveta v curlingu párov a seniorov sa budú konať od 22. - 29. apríla 2023 v kórejskom Gangneunge. Rozhodla o tom Svetová curlingová federácia. Tento šampionát sa tak bude hrať na olympijských miestach zimných olympijských hier 2018 v Pjongčangu. 
„Sme potešení správou, že medzinárodný curling sa opäť vráti do Gangneungu," povedala prezidentka Svetovej curlingovej federácie Kate Caithness. „Mnoho curlerov si prvýkrát vyskúša, aký je to pocit hrať v dejisku olympijských hier a verím, že hráči budú považovať túto skúsenosť za inšpiratívnu."

60th World Men's Curling Championship set for Lethbridge, Canada

The world's top men's curlers will be competing at the Pioneer Hi-Bred World Men's Curling Championship 2019, in Lethbridge, Alberta, in Canada, from Saturday 30 March until Sunday 7 April. The ENMAX Centre will be the venue for the World Men's Curling Championship, which celebrates its 60th anniversary.

Curling history was made when Korea's women – skip Minji Kim, third Hyerin Kim, second player Taei Yang and lead Sujin Kim, supported by coach Sungjun Lee – won their nation's first World Championship medal, by either men or women, when they beat Japan by 7-5 in Sunday morning's bronze medal game at the LGT World Women's Championship in Silkeborg, Denmark.

Olympic champions Sweden beat Japan by 6-3 in Saturday evening's second semi-final of the LGT World Women's Curling Championship 2019 in Silkeborg, Denmark and will face Switzerland in Sunday afternoon's gold medal final. Earlier, Switzerland had beaten China by 5-3 in the first semi-final.
