O historickú olympijskú účasť od soboty bojovali slovenskí reprezentanti na MS v mixed doubles v Lethbridge. Slovensko reprezentoval pár Silvia Sýkorová, David Mišun. V E-skupine skončil s bilanciou dvoch víťazstiev a štyroch prehier na piatom mieste a do osemfinále nepostúpil.

After blanking the first end, Switzerland took an early lead with a score of two points in the second end and a steal of two points in the third end on their way to an 8-4 win over Canada.

First world wheelchair championship win for hosts Scotland

Scotland defeated Germany 9-7 and picked up their first win of the week on home ice in a game that went all the way to an extra-end. The first half of the game saw Germany take a 3-1 lead after stealing two points in the fourth end. However, Scotland responded with a precise hit in the fifth end for three points and a 4-3 lead.
