Tím so skipom Niklasom Edinom sa tešil zo štvrtého triumfu za sebou, okrem toho vo februári zvíťazili aj na olympijských hrách v Pekingu. Bronz získalo Taliansko, ktoré v súboji o bronz zdolalo USA 13:4.
