O historickú olympijskú účasť od soboty bojovali slovenskí reprezentanti na MS v mixed doubles v Lethbridge. Slovensko reprezentoval pár Silvia Sýkorová, David Mišun. V E-skupine skončil s bilanciou dvoch víťazstiev a štyroch prehier na piatom mieste a do osemfinále nepostúpil.

In a battle for second place in the women's standings, China faced Russia on Tuesday night play at the Queens Place Emera Centre in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, Canada. Russia, who were down 6-3 after four ends, clawed their way back into the game with a hit for three points in the eighth end to close the gap 8-7.
