Svetový šampionát sa koná 23. - 30. apríla vo Švajčiarsku

Slovensko na svetovom šampionáte v Ženeve reprezentoval tím Adara v zložení Milan Bubeník, Ľubomír Malý, Peter Mocek, Daniel Sýkora a Karol Pospíchal. Naši reprezentanti sa v základnej skupine stretli s Kanadou, Tureckom, Austráliou, Fínskom, USA a Talianskom. Po šiestich prehrách do ďalších bojov nepostúpili. Skvelý úspech dosiahlo Česko, ktoré si pod vedením skipa Davida Šika vybojovalo strieborné medaily. Zlato získala Kanada (skip Wade White), ktorá vo finále zvíťazila nad Českom 6:3.

Norway men stage second half comeback to move into joint second place

Monday evening's fourth session of men's round-robin play at the World Junior Curling Championships 2019 saw Norway fight back from being 3-7 down to score in each of the last four ends and secure a 9-7 win over China, while two other games went to an extra end. One of the extra-end games featured New Zealand, who beat Germany by 6-5 thanks to a single point steal in the extra end.

In Sunday evening's second session of women's round-robin play at the World Junior Championships in Liverpool, Canada, big scores in single ends were a strong feature. Switzerland led the way when they opened their 11-6 win over Norway with a score of four in the first end and followed that up with another four in the third end on the way to their win.

China men win double extra-end thriller at World Juniors

It took a double extra-end and a stolen point, but China men won by 9-8 against United States in Sunday afternoon's second session of round-robin play in the World Junior Championships 2019 to record their first win. Meanwhile New Zealand continued to blaze their historic trail with a 7-5 extra end win over Sweden.
