Pravidelné tréningy už od 4. septembra

Curlingová hala na Zimnom štadióne V. Dzurillu v Ružinove otvára svoju prevádzku od pondelka 4. septembra. Cena tréningov pre členov SCZ je rovnaká ako v minulej sezóne 40 eur, polovičku z tejto sumy v rozsahu 2 hodín týždenne bude dotovať SCZ. Pravidelné hodiny sa dajú stále objednať mailom na office@curling.sk. SCZ plánuje od októbra otvoriť curlingovú akadémiu pre deti od 10 do 16 rokov, ktorá bude každý týždeň v utorok a štvrtok. V stredu a piatok sú naplánované tréningy pre nových záujemcov.

Norway men stage second half comeback to move into joint second place

Monday evening's fourth session of men's round-robin play at the World Junior Curling Championships 2019 saw Norway fight back from being 3-7 down to score in each of the last four ends and secure a 9-7 win over China, while two other games went to an extra end. One of the extra-end games featured New Zealand, who beat Germany by 6-5 thanks to a single point steal in the extra end.

Switzerland women open with two wins at World Juniors

In Sunday evening's second session of women's round-robin play at the World Junior Championships in Liverpool, Canada, big scores in single ends were a strong feature. Switzerland led the way when they opened their 11-6 win over Norway with a score of four in the first end and followed that up with another four in the third end on the way to their win.

China men win double extra-end thriller at World Juniors

It took a double extra-end and a stolen point, but China men won by 9-8 against United States in Sunday afternoon's second session of round-robin play in the World Junior Championships 2019 to record their first win. Meanwhile New Zealand continued to blaze their historic trail with a 7-5 extra end win over Sweden.
