Skvelý úspech slovenského páru v Kanade

Výborný úspech dosiahol na turnaji Walker Industries v meste Arthur v kanadskej provincii Ontario slovenský pár Paula Hajduk, Janko Horáček, keď skončili na 5. mieste. Slováci sa zaskveli už v úvodnom zápase triumfom nad neskoršími víťazmi turnaja Scottom McDonaldom, Laurou Neil (Kanada) 6:3 a potom aj hladkým víťazstvom nad ďalším skúseným domácim párom Samuel Giulbeault, Jenny Medden 7:1. Našu dvojicu zastavil až vo štvrťfinále strieborný medailista z Pankontinentálnych majstrovstiev 2022 Jiyoon Kim s Jin Jeong (J. Kórea), ktorí nakoniec obsadili druhé miesto.
Slovenský pár šokoval aj v príprave, keď zdolal majstrov Kanady do 25 rokov Zheng, Pietrangelo 10:6. Našich reprezentantov už o týždeň na ich kanadskom turné čaká ďalší turnaj v meste Cambridge. Držíme palce :)

World qualification play-off places set as round-robin stages draw to a close

Despite losing to Netherlands in Tuesday morning's second-last men's round-robin session, Korea became the first men's qualifiers for Wednesday's play-off games at the inaugural World Qualification Event, in Naseby, New Zealand. After the last men's round-robin session, they were later joined by England in second place and Netherlands in third place.

Finland women won a top-of-the-table clash with China by 8-6 in Monday morning's fifth women's round-robin session at the inaugural World Qualification Event in Naseby, New Zealand to become the first team to qualify for Wednesday's play-offs.

Only four teams remain undefeated as World Qualification Event unfolds

After Sunday's third day of play in the inaugural World Qualification Event, being staged in Naseby, New Zealand, four teams remain undefeated – China and Finland women, and England and Korea men. Both the women's and men's eight-team fields have now completed four of their seven scheduled round-robin sessions.
