Víťazom historického turnaja Gallo Team

Víťazom turnaja High Tatras Air Open v Tatranskej Lomnici sa stal Gallo team. Úradujúci slovenskí majstri pod vedením skipa Juraja Galla ako jediní zvíťazili vo všetkých štyroch zápasoch a zdvihli nad hlavu unikátnu trofej.

"Na toto podujatie sme dali zhotoviť krásnu trofej, typického tatranského svišťa stojaceho na curlingovom kameni. Vyrobil nám ju rezbár Marián Hutira. Váži 13 kilogramov a je celá z dreva. Bude to putovná trofej, keďže v organizácii turnaja chceme pokračovať aj v ďalších rokoch," povedal šéf organizačného tímu Jakub Jurkovič.

Na historický prvom curlingovom podujatí na Slovensku pod otvoreným nebom sa na druhom mieste umiestnilo poľské družstvo Jurczyk, tretiu priečku obsadil ďalší domáci tím Rakúsy. Na turnaji sa zúčastnilo 15 družstiev zo Slovenska, Česka, Poľska a Slovinska.

Italy record first win at 2018 Le GruyEre AOP Europeans

Italy recorded their first win so far when they beat Czech Republic by 7-6 in Tuesday afternoon's sixth session of women's round-robin play. By contrast, Switzerland remained undefeated, beating Denmark by 10-6 to stay in a clear lead at the top of the table.

Finland pick up second victory at the Le GruyEre AOP Europeans

On Tuesday morning at the Le GruyEre AOP European Curling Championships 2018 the men returned to the ice for their sixth session of round-robin play in the Tondiraba Ice Hall in Tallinn, Estonia. Finland recorded their second win in a close 8-7 game against Russia that went all the way to an extra end.

Czech Republic remain unbeaten in Le GruyEre AOP European’s B-Division

Men The B-Division men were back in action on Tuesday morning with Group A games in their seventh round-robin session at the Le GruyEre AOP Curling European Championships 2018. Hungary came out 9-4 winners over Turkey. Seven points in ends six to eight were crucial in giving Turkey the edge over Poland who conceded afterwards.

Norway still undefeated in the Le GruyEre European B-Division after four sessions

Women The B-Division women returned to the ice on Monday morning in their fourth round-robin session at the Le GruyEre AOP European Curling Championships in Tallinn, Estonia. Norway had a 10-2 win over Lithuania, who conceded after six ends, to remain unbeaten at the top of the table. Norway took the lead from the first end and gave Lithuania no chance to come back.

Germany move into second place in the Le GruyEre Europeans table

After Monday evening's fifth session of women's round-robin play at the Le GruyEre AOP European Curling Championships in Tallinn, Estonia, Germany move into clear second place while Switzerland remain undefeated at the top of the rankings. Germany secured their second win of the day, defeating Czech Republic, by 9-1, in seven ends.
