Vrcholom budú Zimné olympijské hry v Pekingu

Slovenský curlingový zväz praje všetkým členom príjemné prežitie vianočných sviatkov, veľa šťastia, zdravia a úspechov v novom roku 2022. Tento rok poznačila pandémia a boli zrušené všetky súťaže slovenskej ligy. Na reprezentačnej úrovni sa darilo tímu mužov, ktorý si na ME v Ženeve vybojoval postup do B-kategórie. Na ME v Lillehammeri potvrdil formu a takisto ako reprezentácia žien si udržal účasť v béčku. Naši hráči boli aj v hre o ZOH v Pekingu, v tureckom Erzurume si však muži, ženy ani dably postup nevybojovali. V budúcom roku bude pre slovenský curling vrcholom marcová paralympiáda, kde sa zúčastní tím pod vedením Radka Ďuriša.

Jensen and Schori celebrate curling milestones Wednesday in Kelowna

Camilla Jensen (DEN) plays her 200th Championship game and Irene Schori (SUI) plays her 100th Championship game Wednesday at 16.00 PDT in Kelowna at the Winn Rentals World Mixed Curling Championship. She comes off the ice with a smile of pure enthusiasm. I'm talking about Camilla Jensen, who today at 4:00 PM exactly, will play her 200th game of curling while representing Denmark.

Turkey join play-off race in Kelowna

Session 20 at the Winn Rentals World Mixed Curling Championship found Turkey qualifying for play-offs in group A alongside previously qualified Scotland. Turkey beat England 8-5 in the final session of day five action to secure their spot.

Canada, Norway and Russia secure playoff places on the penultimate day of the round robin

Day five of round-robin play saw three more teams claim a place in the playoffs. Russia secured the first playoff place from Group B, while both Canada and Norway take the first two playoff places from Group D.

A turning point for Junior Curlers at World Mixed Championship

It was only seven months ago that four Scottish curlers found themselves on the ice not far from home. Aberdeen, Scotland hosted the World Junior Curling Championship 2018 and it was there that Robin Brydone, Ross Whyte, Rebecca Morrison and Leeanne McKenzie represented their home country.
