Majstrovstvá sveta seniorov, Ženeva

Svetový šampionát sa koná 23. - 30. apríla vo Švajčiarsku

Slovensko na svetovom šampionáte v Ženeve reprezentoval tím Adara v zložení Milan Bubeník, Ľubomír Malý, Peter Mocek, Daniel Sýkora a Karol Pospíchal. Naši reprezentanti sa v základnej skupine stretli s Kanadou, Tureckom, Austráliou, Fínskom, USA a Talianskom. Po šiestich prehrách do ďalších bojov nepostúpili. Skvelý úspech dosiahlo Česko, ktoré si pod vedením skipa Davida Šika vybojovalo strieborné medaily. Zlato získala Kanada (skip Wade White), ktorá vo finále zvíťazila nad Českom 6:3.

Kanada 3:12, Turecko 4:6, Austrália 2:10, Fínsko 2:9, USA 2:10, Taliansko 6:7

Muži - semifinále: Česko - Švédsko 8:6, Kanada - Nemecko 11:5
Finále: Kanada - Česko 6:3, o bronz: Švédsko - Nemecko 7:3
Ženy - semifinále: Škótsko - Švajčiarsko 6:7, Fínsko - USA 4:8
Finále: Švajčiarsko - USA 6:5, o bronz: Škótsko - Fínsko 6:4

She comes off the ice with a smile of pure enthusiasm. I'm talking about Camilla Jensen, who today at 4:00 PM exactly, will play her 200th game of curling while representing Denmark.
