Following a successful mixed doubles event at the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018, in South Korea, an additional two teams will be added to this discipline for the Games in Beijing, China in 2022. This takes the field from eight to ten, bringing the number of teams in line with the women's and men's events.

The World Curling Federation can confirm that its President, Kate Caithness, will stand, unopposed, for a third term at the upcoming Annual General Assembly in September. The Assembly, to be held in Budapest, Hungary, on Sunday 9 September, as part of the seventh World Curling Congress, will also see Board Director Andy Anderson stepping down after completing his term.

The success of FUssen's Junior Curling Camp may be partially down to the soon-to-be-famous faces that are associated with it. Over the past 20 years, many familiar names on the elite stage today, spent a week at the camp in their junior years. However, there is a lot more to it than that.

As the curling season winds down in late spring, the sport tends to go through a spell of hibernation until the early autumn. Traditionally winter sports take a break to catch the summer sun. But not all in the sport are taking to your usual holiday destinations. In fact, a town of 15,000 people happens to be one of the most popular summer destinations for young curlers.
