Program vrcholných podujatí 2022

Vrcholom budú Zimné olympijské hry v Pekingu

Slovenský curlingový zväz praje všetkým členom príjemné prežitie vianočných sviatkov, veľa šťastia, zdravia a úspechov v novom roku 2022. Tento rok poznačila pandémia a boli zrušené všetky súťaže slovenskej ligy. Na reprezentačnej úrovni sa darilo tímu mužov, ktorý si na ME v Ženeve vybojoval postup do B-kategórie. Na ME v Lillehammeri potvrdil formu a takisto ako reprezentácia žien si udržal účasť v béčku. Naši hráči boli aj v hre o ZOH v Pekingu, v tureckom Erzurume si však muži, ženy ani dably postup nevybojovali. V budúcom roku bude pre slovenský curling vrcholom marcová paralympiáda, kde sa zúčastní tím pod vedením Radka Ďuriša.

International curling returns to Korea with Paralympic Winter Games 2018

International curling returns to the Republic of Korea and the Gangneung Curling Centre on Saturday 10 March as the wheelchair curling competition of the Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 gets underway. Altogether 12 teams will be taking part, for the first time in the competition's history - an increase from ten teams at previous Games. Korea, as hosts, received an automatic entry.

In Monday morning's fourth session of women's round-robin play, Sweden continued their unbeaten run with an 8-6 win over Russia, while Switzerland beat Scotland, 9-6, in an extra end to record their first win so far. Sweden took a 5-3 lead into the fifth-end break of their game against Russia, thanks largely to a score of three points in the fifth end.

Both Scotland and United States had an unbeaten day in Sunday's two sessions of men's round-robin play at the World Junior Curling Championships 2018 to stand together unbeaten at the top of the rankings, on three wins and no losses. Meanwhile China and Germany recorded their first wins so far in the evening session.

Defending champions Sweden beat Norway by 8-5 in Sunday afternoon's third women's round-robin session of the World Junior Curling Championships 2018 to record their third win, remain undefeated so far, and move into a clear lead at the top of the table.

Canada, Russia and Sweden women share the lead after two sessions

After the first two sessions of women's round-robin play at the World Junior Curling Championships 2018, three teams share the lead, each on two wins - Canada, Russia and defending champions Sweden. Canada were pushed all the way by Turkey in their evening game, with the teams tied at 3-3 after five ends, and again, at 5-5, after eight ends.
