V Číne zlato pre Talianov, Švédov a Škótky

Senzačným víťazstvom Talianska sa v Pekingu na ZOH skončila súťaž v mixed doubles. Dvojica Amos Mosaner, Stefania Constantini nenašla premožiteľa ani v jednom z deviatich zápasov v základnej časti a takisto nezavãhala ani v play off. Taliani najskôr v semifinále zdolali Švédsko 8:1 a vo finále zvíťazili nad Nórskom 8:5. V súťaži mužov sa zo zlatých medailí tešili Švédi, medzi ženami triumfovali Škótky.

Hralo sa v hale Ice Cube, ktorá bola ako Vodná kocka dejiskom plaveckých a potápačských súťaží na olympijských hrách v roku 2008.

China women climb the rankings at World Juniors

In a battle for second place in the women's standings, China faced Russia on Tuesday night play at the Queens Place Emera Centre in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, Canada. Russia, who were down 6-3 after four ends, clawed their way back into the game with a hit for three points in the eighth end to close the gap 8-7.

Sweden junior men secure first win of the week

Sweden beat Germany by 9-7 in Tuesday afternoon's fifth session of the men's round robin at the World Junior Championships in Liverpool, Canada to record their first win so far.

International curling event brings new spending to Kelowna

A new economic impact survey reported that the World Mixed Curling Championships, held over a week in Kelowna last October, brought in $1.21 million in new spending to BC. Kelowna welcomed 350 out of town visitors taking part in the event, 25 percent of which were international guests.

Norway women record first 2019 World Juniors win

Norway carved out their first win of the event so far with a 5-4 victory over Scotland in Tuesday morning's fourth session of women's round-robin play at the World Junior Curling Championships 2019 in Liverpool, Canada. Meanwhile, Switzerland moved into a clear lead at the top of the table, beating Russia by 7-6 for a fourth win that keeps their unbeaten record intact.
