V Číne zlato pre Talianov, Švédov a Škótky

Senzačným víťazstvom Talianska sa v Pekingu na ZOH skončila súťaž v mixed doubles. Dvojica Amos Mosaner, Stefania Constantini nenašla premožiteľa ani v jednom z deviatich zápasov v základnej časti a takisto nezavãhala ani v play off. Taliani najskôr v semifinále zdolali Švédsko 8:1 a vo finále zvíťazili nad Nórskom 8:5. V súťaži mužov sa zo zlatých medailí tešili Švédi, medzi ženami triumfovali Škótky.

Hralo sa v hale Ice Cube, ktorá bola ako Vodná kocka dejiskom plaveckých a potápačských súťaží na olympijských hrách v roku 2008.

Bob Picken and Anne Malcolm obituaries

The World Curling Federation is saddened to hear that two curling stalwarts, Bob Picken, from Canada and Scotland's Anne Malcolm, have both passed away.
