Vrcholom budú Zimné olympijské hry v Pekingu

Slovenský curlingový zväz praje všetkým členom príjemné prežitie vianočných sviatkov, veľa šťastia, zdravia a úspechov v novom roku 2022. Tento rok poznačila pandémia a boli zrušené všetky súťaže slovenskej ligy. Na reprezentačnej úrovni sa darilo tímu mužov, ktorý si na ME v Ženeve vybojoval postup do B-kategórie. Na ME v Lillehammeri potvrdil formu a takisto ako reprezentácia žien si udržal účasť v béčku. Naši hráči boli aj v hre o ZOH v Pekingu, v tureckom Erzurume si však muži, ženy ani dably postup nevybojovali. V budúcom roku bude pre slovenský curling vrcholom marcová paralympiáda, kde sa zúčastní tím pod vedením Radka Ďuriša.

Italy qualify for Le GruyEre AOP European semi-finals

Italy secured their semi-final spot with a 6-4 win over Poland in Wednesday afternoon’s eighth men’s round-robin session at the Le GruyEre AOP European Curling Championships in Tallinn, Estonia. Italy opened the scoring with three points in the second end.

Switzerland seal play-off berth in Tallinn

On Wednesday morning at the Le GruyEre AOP European Curling Championships 2018 in Tallinn, Estonia the women returned to action for their seventh round-robin session where Switzerland became the first team to qualify for the semi-finals. Switzerland remain unbeaten following a 9-2 win over Latvia.

Spanish skip celebrates 100th international curling game

Spanish women's skip, Oihane Otaegi reached a landmark at the Le GruyEre AOP European Championships 2018, on Tuesday, when she lined up on the ice for her 100th game for Spain. Living up to the occasion, the Spanish team took a 7-6 victory over Hungary in the event's B-Division. “I feel great,” she said before the match.

Scotland and Sweden first to qualify for Le GruyEre AOP European semis

Sweden and Scotland's men's teams became the first teams to qualify for the semi-finals at the Le GruyEre AOP European Curling Championships 2018 in Tallinn, Estonia. Sweden [pictured below, © WCF / Richard Gray] beat Netherlands by 9-5 in their seventh round-robin game, as they also preserved their unbeaten record.
